E-CLINIC COUNSELLING

SECURE VIDEO CONFERENCE

PAM provides counselling and CBT using a secure integrated web-conferencing facility.

For employees benefiting from face-to-face counselling, but remotely located, these

consultations use an innovative, secure integrated web-conferencing facility.

Unlike Skype and other similar products, SVC is securely integrated within our own IT

platform and has been developed for healthcare purposes.

WHAT IS A SECURE VIDEO CONFERENCE?

PAM's specialist occupational health system OHIO will provide integrated Secure Video Conference "SVC". This is a point to point video conference service for clinician and employee as both have access to a webcam and will be able to speak “face to face” through the computer.

SVC may be used as an alternative to a consultation where no physical examination is anticipated. It is  used by PAM clinicians with in-built security and functionality.

WHY USE A SECURE VIDEO CONFERENCE?

  • Need to provide faster response times to clients and employees

  • Use of established technology used in healthcare, media and by consumers

  • Environmental benefits; reduced travel for clinicians and employees minimises downtime

  • Allows clinicians to deliver services without any clinical compromise

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • SVC is technology integrated within OHIO

  • Where clinically appropriate, a referral will be verified

  • Employee verification that SVC is feasible

  • Appointment booked and confirmed

  • Employee emailed appointment and log on details

  • Appointment reminders  1 day and 10 minutes before

  • Consultation carried out using SVC

  • Report prepared and sent via OHIO

EMAIL COUNSELLING

Becoming more and more popular every year, email counselling gives you a chance to write at a time that's convenient to you and lets you keep everything written, should you ever want or need to refer back to it. Email counselling is a brilliant option for those of us who find it hard to commit to a specific time, or for the ones who find it much easier to write and express thoughts and feelings by the written word.

You can receive up to 6 sessions of email counselling, which works in much the same way as talking counselling; once a week, the same counsellor, working towards a focus and feeling better.
